I am an assistant professor (lecturer) of political science at the University of Iceland. I received my PhD from the University of Rochester in 2017. Prior to graduate school, I was a senior policy analyst at the International Peace Institute in New York, where I focused United Nations responses to transnational threats and challenges.
My research is at the boundary of political science and public administration, with a focus on the bureaucratic politics of international institutions, particularly the United Nations. My work has appeared such outlets as Political Studies, the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, and the International Review of Administrative Sciences.
I teach courses on international organizations, organizational theory and behavior, bureaucratic politics, research design, and causal inference.
